[edit] Tissue Expansion
When sustained tension is applied to body tissue, the tissue will grow. This principle, known as "tissue expansion", has been used for over 30 years by physicians in a variety of reconstructive procedures. The medical profession has used the tissue expansion principle for the last 30 years to grow tissue for medical procedures such as breast reconstruction and lengthening of limbs.
The BRAVA System uses the method of tissue expansion to non-surgically grow the soft tissue of the breast. It is an external tissue expander. A gentle three-dimensional pull is applied to the breasts, placing the tissue under tension. The gentle, continuous tension causes the tissue to respond by replicating, called tension-induced tissue growth. The result of proper treatment is new breast tissue, resulting in larger, fuller breasts.
Clinical research shows that when women comply with the procedure, they will see an increase in breast volume ranging from 35cc to 250cc of lasting tissue growth. Users have reported an increase of 1/2 to 2-cup sizes of long-lasting growth. Individual results vary due to biological factors as well as the frequency and duration of use.1
