"…to impose its domination on the left-wing spectre." Spectre means "ghost". That cannot be what is meant. And "spectrum", the one thing I could think of, still does not make sense. Perhaps what is meant is "the left-wing portion of the political spectrum"? Unless, of course, you are making a terribly arch allusion to the opening words of the Communist Manifesto (rendered in English as "A spectre is haunting Europe…") - Jmabel | Talk 05:23, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
