[edit] Songs

Most Lotta Engberg songs are written by Mikael Wendt och Christer Lundh. Other songs are written by other, some are covers. Just some of them are in English, and most of those songs are covers. Other songs are translated from other languages, often English, into Swedish. Many Lotta Engberg songs form a story instead of symbolic declaring feelings, as many other mordern pop songs do. Examples of storytelling Lotta Engberg songs are "Världens bästa servitris", "Emelie" and "Vilken härlig dag". Lotta Engberg quickly became famous for singing joyful songs, often with a "catchy" refrain. Famous songs of those include "Fyra Bugg & en Coca Cola" (Boogalloo), "100 %", "Kan man gifta sig i jeans", "Genom vatten och eld" and "Världens bästa servitris". By the late 1990s, she begun to sing more ballad like songs like "Vilken härlig dag", "Blå, blå är himmelen" and "Hela världen öppnar sig", as well as the songs on the "Kvinna och man" album. Some of the lyrics in her songs, mostly in later years, have more serious lyrics, like "En liten stund på Jorden" (Which describes walking in the forest and reflecting over the shortness of life).

In 2006, Lotta Engberg recorded the ballad "Känn min längtan", where she declares her love to her oldest daughter, who had moved from Sweden. The melody is the same as "Let Me Love You" by Brian Hobbs. When she sang in SVT2 on 23 December 2006, "Känn min längtan" was one of the songs.
