Lotario Rangoni

Lotario Rangoni Machiavelli (1913 - October 2, 1942) was an Italian car racer.
He was born in Florence descending from Modenese (Rangoni) and Florentine (Machiavelli) nobility. He moved at a young age in Spilamberto, near Modena, where he directed the family agricultural household.
He distinguished in numerous racing with FIAT Balilla and Alfa Romeo, and rode the first Ferrari ever (Model 815). He was also a fan of aviation, and during World War II he worked as test pilot. He died at Pistoia while testing a new plane.
