Lota is an outer suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 17 km east of the CBD.
Most of the land of Lota was originally owned by William Duckett White, who settled in 1862. The suburb is named after the original house 'Lota House', it was named as it was built on "Lot A" of a local Sub-division.
