[edit] Thanks
Glad to see there's some active Batesies editing the Bates page. It's been fun adding occasional facts as an alum. Swampyank 22:25, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Frank Rodriguez
Frank Rodriguez is one of the foremost jurists of this generation, a brilliant lawyer and is unquestionably noteworthy. There has already been quite a lot of debate about Mr. Rodriguez's noteworthiness and that of his company, Corporate Creations. I am preparing and entry for Wikipedia on the subject of this legal scholar at the moment and I am of the strong belief that my edit was appropriate and correct. I would propose re-instating my edit unless you have compelling reasons why I should not. I look forward to hearing your views.Mgr.James Horan Decd. 17:41, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sir, I note that Mr. Rodriguez's name has been re-instated. Thank you.Mgr.James Horan Decd. 14:46, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your support and comments at my RfA | ||
Hi Lostvalley, It still amazes me that otherwise "anonymous" editors take the time to place !votes and comments on RfAs. Whilst I would have normally thanked you at the time of you leaving your message, the importance of my not appearing to be canvassing prevented me from so doing. Now that everything has progressed successfully I can finally thank you. I intend to uphold a style of good adminship and will welcome your further comments at any time in the future, even if they are in the form of admonishment. I will be happy to help as an admin wherever and whenever I can --VS talk 23:24, 27 June 2007 (UTC) |
- You're welcome, good luck with your new admin powers. Lostvalley 12:36, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Zürich
I noticed you cleaned up some District information. In so doing, I see that when you fixed District 8/Riesbach's link, you removed what then became redundant (saying that Riesbach contained Riesbach). However, I noticed that for other districts (3, 4, and 12), you did not. 4 and 12 are not exactly redundant, but 3 says that "Wiedikon ... contains the neighborhood of Wiedikon". If I knew anything at all about the districts of Zürich, I'd be tempted to fix it myself. However, it occurs to me that just as we have New York (City), New York (State), there could be a Wiedikon (neighborhood), Wiedikon (district), although I find that unlikely. :) Finally, although districts 1 and 5 might seem to be redundant to German-speakers, I do not think they should be considered redundant. That probably didn't need to be said, but that never stops me from saying things.
- Thanks Benhocking for noticing that, I corrected the redundancies to make it clearer. Lostvalley 12:34, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Great! And I noticed that you added a little more to Wiedikon, as well! Benhocking 12:42, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hello!
Hello. I am RS2007. I noted that you made certain changes in the article ETH Zurich. You grew up in Geneva and lived several years in Zürich, Switzerland. I think you speak German and French. Can you help me to translate some German and French articles into English? Thank you. RS2007 08:32, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sure thing, let me know which ones and I can get started when I've got some free time. Lostvalley 08:49, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. Can you translate the CV of Andre Neveu[1]? Please translate page one. You can translate only 15 lines. Please don't translate second page.
- Few more questions: Do you know anything about Ecole Normale Superieure? I know that it is a French University. Is it prestigious? And, can you tell me how to pronounce Ecole Normale Superieure? Please reply on my talk page. Thank you. RS2007 04:42, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
