Welcome to Wikipedia, comrade! Always good to see more Kiwi Marxists :D. Cheers, Hauser 07:29, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Do you know Simon Oosterman? I'm looking for more information to his page. I found that he claims to be a Communist AND an Anarchist? Does that mean he is also a Marxist? Meiom 12:41, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
I've met him once or twice, but couldn't give you any more information that whats currently in the article. (it wouldn't be verifiable anyway) On the Communist and Anarchist thing I guess maybe hes an anarcho-communist (see Anarcho-communism) although I thought he was an Anarcho-syndicalist (see Anarcho-syndicalism) Pretty sure hes not a Marxist though. [edit] WikiProject Organized Labour
Hi Lossenelin. I saw your name at the project and just wanted to say hello. Always nice to see another editor interested in Labour. Cheers.--Bookandcoffee 23:40, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Hey. Already got started on an article; 2006 Progressive Enterprises Lock-out, probably the biggest industrial dispute in New Zealand this decade, which is currently happening, went to the picket lines this morning :-)
- Hi I moved it to 2006 Progressive Enterprises dispute because that is the proper capitalisation - Dispute is not a proper noun. cheers - Drstuey 09:26, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Shelfgaps.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Shelfgaps.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:06, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:AmberReeves.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:AmberReeves.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Image:SujataBhatt.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:SujataBhatt.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chowbok ☠ 16:11, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Progressissue2.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Progressissue2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] HELP!
Please visit the NAMBLA article talk page Talk:North_American_Man/Boy_Love_Association#categories_again and voice your disgust at NAMBLA being included as an LGBT organisation. Alternatively, if you believe that this is indeed an LGBT organisation, then you're welcome to voice that opinion. Either way, discussion is needed!Enzedbrit 21:11, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not touching that issue with a 40ft pole. Also I think Wikipedia has some rule about using talk pages to bring more people into disputes, might want to check that out before you go posting this message everywhere.
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:JasonGunn.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:JasonGunn.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. [edit] Image:Antiterrorraidprotest.jpg
Hello. I was just about to upload the above image to Commons, so that it could be correctly sorted (images should in fact all be on Commons, which is a sister project of Wikipedia, unless they are used under a Fair use license.
The reason why I am asking here is that you used the CC-BY-3.0 license (which is okay on Commons, and specifically allows commercial re-use) but in your text re the image content, you noted that you were only releasing it for non-commercial use (which is inconsistent with the license, and also, makes the image unable to be uploaded on Commons).
To explain - Commons needs all images to be used commercially, because the images should be useful for all sorts of future uses. This includes future re-use by an artist who wants to use them for an artwork which he then sells just as well as for a website which uses your image to illustrate, for example, a pay-per-click article (currently, there are already Wikipedia mirrors out there which use advertising on their websites, making the images a commercial use).
So could you please decide whether you want to make your image(s) available for commercial use as well? If not, please change the license. Thanks for your contributions, cheers - and happy editing. Ingolfson 09:56, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
The image is from an Indymedia article where it was under a creative commons licence that doesn't allow commerical use, you may be able to use it under a different licence if you ask the author on the page its from Lossenelin 19:17, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
