[edit] Number of discs
According to the link to amazon.com [1], the number of discs for the season 2 dvd release is 6, not 7 as stated in the article. I'm going to change the article to reflect the information on amazon.com. Darry2385 04:45, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- I just pulled out my copy, and it has seven discs. I guess amazon is wrong. --Milo H Minderbinder 14:22, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion suggest
To put it simple, this article should be deleted it belongs more to amazon or imb than to wikipedia.--Andres rojas22 21:41, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but since two of us have removed your {{prod}} template, you'll need to make your views known on AfD. Personally, whilst I'd question it's significance, I think the article is reasonably well written and I'd rather the content remains separated out here than integrated with the already length Lost article. └ UkPaolo/talk┐ 07:39, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Season 3 Dates
It says that season 3 is scheduled to come out september 2006 is it meant to be 2007???/?
[edit] Why do we need this article?
While a considerable amount of work has been put into this page, I fail to see why this page is necessary. The lead can be found at Lost (TV series)#DVD releases and the DVD details can be found on Amazon. Please enlighten me before I nominate this page for deletion. --thedemonhog talk • edits 04:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Short answer: Category:Television videos and DVDs. Considering that Lost has already been announced to go for six seasons, this page will also be expanded in the future, has dedicated editors (i.e. is up to date), and keeps all info in one place without the coverage space and depth restrictions it would have on the main LOST page. I couldn't find any precedent cases where such TV DVD releases were AfD'ed. – sgeureka t•c 06:19, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know. It might be just me but I looked over those other articles and I am not sure why we should have any of them. --thedemonhog talk • edits 06:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Let me just add that I was more than blind when I said that I couldn't find any precedent cases... :-) It says right here at the top of the talk page that this page was AfD'ed (unsuccessfully), and personally, I find the result of the debate not surprising at all. – sgeureka t•c 14:42, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, fine. Consensus is strongly against me and I understand their reasons. --thedemonhog talk • edits 16:43, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Redirection
As you can see in the above section, I have questioned the need for this article (list?) before. The lead of this article is well summarized in the main Lost article and I do not think that the table is necessary for Wikipedia. –thedemonhog talk • edits 04:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- I think this page should be gotten rid of. On it's own, in this state, it looks like WP:LISTCRUFT, WP:IINFO, WP:FAN, WP:ADVERTISING, and WP:DIRECTORY. And without mentioning something about how many units have been sold, or whatever, it also seems to fail WP:Notability on WP:PRODUCT. These points were raised in a number of discussions stemming from a WP:FLC for One Tree Hill DVD releases; the end result was the article was redirected to the main One Tree Hill page, with the tables for each DVD release being merged into each individual season article. I think this article has a better chance of being accepted by the majority of the Wikipedia community if the same happens here (and with every other DVD release article), as it was very clear that a list of this kind could never stand up to be the best that Wikipedia can offer, which is what Featured Status is all about. -- Matthew | talk | Contribs 06:04, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- I had a different opinion about such DVD pages once, but I think now that they should be merged with more appropriate season pages for the reasons Matthew mentioned above. (I came to the same conclusion yesterday regarding the DVD page of a favorite show of mine.) – sgeureka t•c 07:40, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Do any other editors believe, like I do, that this discussion should have it's own page (an RfC perhaps) with links to all the previous discussions (including the prior deletion debate)? I know that was an impossibly long sentence, but it took me a long time to follow all the links and determine that this was the main discussion. The main "discuss" link points elsewhere. - Just wanted to say that I think the DVD tables should be merged with their appropriate season pages. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 09:17, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

- I agree that the DVD tables should be merged with their respective season article as has been done with the season articles of many other televison programmes on Wikipedia. In my opinion, the subject is not notable enough for its own article; especially when individual season pages exist. Daniel99091 (talk) 00:21, 2 April 2008 (UTC).
