Scouting Wiki Project Los Angeles Area Council is part of the Scouting WikiProject, an effort to build a comprehensive and detailed guide to Scouting and Guiding on the Wikipedia. This includes but is not limited to boy and girl organizations, WAGGGS and WOSM organizations as well as those not so affiliated, country and region-specific topics, and anything else related to Scouting.   • Oppose If all the articles of this stature were merged into Scouting in California, the Scouting in California article would reach an absurd length. The quality of the present article is not the measure of a merge decision. Anlace 19:22, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
As the article grows, then it can split. For example, if the Los Angeles County Council section grew to a certain point, then it could certainly fork to a new article. We encourage the by-state articles to grow, then by-council. I'm not sure what is meant by "of this stature" as the article in question is now a stub. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 19:35, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Do we have a separate council article yet? I would think this should go top down for creation - state, council, camp. Most councils have only one or two camps. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 13:29, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
