From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Los Ruiles" is a small nature reserve located in the easternmost part of the municipality of Pelluhue, Province of Cauquenes, Maule Region, Chile. It lies in the foothills of the "Cordillera de la Costa" and has a surface of 29 hectares. The reserve is a small oasis, next to the road that connects Chanco and Cauquenes, containing native species of trees and plants that are unique in the country, some of them being in danger of extinction as is the case with the Nothofagus alessandri. There is a reception area, several picnic tables and two footpaths.
