Los Roques Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Los Roques) (IATA: LRV, ICAO: SVRS) – a small domestic airport on the El Gran Roque island in the Los Roques archipelago off the coast of mainland Venezuela, some 130 km north of Caracas. It serves small turboprop traffic or STOL aircraft, possessing a 1000 x 26 meters RWY 07/25, which has been recently repaved in the summer of 2007. The airport is remotely controlled from Simón Bolívar International Airport.

- On 4 January 2008 at 14:08 UTC a Transaven airlines Let L-410UVP-E3 (registration number YV2081) on a scheduled domestic flight from Simón Bolívar International Airport serving Caracas to Los Roques Airport, reported as its last communication that it lost power in both engines at 3,000 ft (910 m) and descending. The aircraft was on a 024 radial heading relative to the airport of departure and 64 nautical miles (119 km) to the north of it. The pilot was to attempt water landing near the coral reef surrounding the Los Roques archipelago. The aircraft was never found, but life vests associated with it were recovered some days later. There were 12 passengers onboard and 2 crew. Remains of one male passenger was found later floating in the water. The passengers were mostly vacationing Italians.[1]
