Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica background

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Premios MTV Latinoamérica (previously known as MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica or VMALA's) is the Latin American version of the Video Music Awards.

Before MTV established a special event for the latin artists, the awards (a Moonman) were given out during the MTV VMA's live broadcast in a category called "Video de la Gente" ("People's Video"). The first award was given out in 1994, then in 1998 it was divided into north and south, and in 2001 the south was divided into southwest and southeast.
