Los Angeles Live Steamers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum (LALS) is a non-profit public benefit corporation that was founded in 1956 by train enthusiasts for the purpose of educating people in railroad history and lore and to further the avocation of live steam, gas-mechanical and electronic scale model railroad technology.

Walt Disney's Carolwood Pacific Railroad "Barn" (his personal model railroad workshop building) was donated to LALS in 1999 by Disney's heirs. The Barn is open to the public on the third Sunday of each month. Guided tours are provided by members of the Carolwood Pacific Historical Society.
