Lorenzo Manetti (born October 29, 1980 in Los Angeles, California) is an American film director and writer. Son of actor Larry Manetti. He attended Montclair College Preparatory High School in Van Nuys, which has a rich history of celebrity alumni including Nicole Ritchie, Paul Thomas Anderson, Curtis Hanson and Cher. Studied at The University of Southern California’s USC School of Cinema-Television, where he earned a bachelors degree in 2002. In his senior year he formed production company Glass Beach Entertainment, a named derived from Seymour Glass’s character from J.D. Salinger’s A Perfect Day for Bananafish. Manetti produced and directed two national commercials just before graduating USC and in 2004, he wrote and directed the 35 minute short film Scrambled Eggs starring Heather Lindell, Michael Rapaport, Dennis Farina and father Larry Manetti, which debuted at the prestigious Hollywood Film Festival. Manetti is currently developing Richard Laymon’s The Traveling Vampire Show into a feature film project for his Glass Beach Entertainment that he will write and direct, and is serving as a producer developing the feature film adaptation of WWII fighter pilot Gregory "Pappy" Boyington's autobiography Baa Baa Black Sheep. It is rumored that John Milius is officially attached to the project as a writer and potential director.
