It is said that Jim Henson found in her the inspiration for the Muppet character "Miss Piggy." -- Sounds like a joke to me. Maybe someone can find a reference. --Hippocampus 02:04, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)

The original author confused that statement. The claim is that the character of Miss Piggy was modeled after Swit's character, Margaret 'Hotlips' Houlihan in M*A*S*H . Ironically, it was Loretta Swit who made this claim. [1] --Viriditas | Talk 09:01, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)

It is constructive--it concerns a potential change to wording in the article which you apparently support and which I oppose. And the reason actress redirects to actor has nothing to do with some people considering the term "sexist"--it is because there is no point in having two entirely separate articles with content completely identical except for a pronoun. Your response to my matter-of-fact comment was not constructive in any way. Furthermore I have never expressed any "support" for this idea except to experiment by representing this POV in the article, all due to something either Swit herself said, or a writer said about her, IIRC. Stating that people find the term sexist has nothing to do with me, and I suggest you refrain from assigning personal beliefs or motives to editors. One can use either actor or actress to refer to Swit; it doesn't matter as they both point to the same place. Finally, you never addressed my comments, instead, you dismissed them out of hand. If this is the way you handle yourself on Wikipedia, I suggest you submit yourself for editorial review. She's a big anti-fur spokesman, I think that's worth mentioning. It was said she inspired Miss Piggy *as a joke* when she appeared on the Muppet Show (episode 5.2).
