california mission articles - pictures

If you honestly don't mind how they look when you have that many images displaying at huge pixel width without a lot of text between them, thats fine, but in both IE and Safari, at high desktop resolution, several of these articles look really bad (specifically: Mission San Juan Bautista, Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo, Mission San Gabriel Arcángel & Mission San Luis Rey de Francia). Gallery display would be alot better, or atleast dropping them to widths of say 250px. Cornell Rockey 16:51, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

I don't mean the images look bad; infact, many of them are very nice looking pictures. I mean that they had displayed poorly in the layout of the article with huge empty blocks of white between them, or stacked and staggered because of width that has been set. Thats why I migrated them into a gallery. Cornell Rockey 19:47, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

The Scott Special

Just an FYI since you've added so much to the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway page... I've created an article for the Scott Special using information out of my own reference library (spurred on mostly by John Signor's article in the current issue of the Warbonnet). I think it's up to GA quality now (and it's nominated as such), and I'm still looking through my library for more information to add to it. Slambo (Speak) 15:36, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Outside SD Union Station 1941.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Outside SD Union Station 1941.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

X-Files cleanup.

Hello. I couln't help but notice your name when you cleaned up the Silver Streak page. Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space' is one of my favourite episodes. I am about to start working on a major cleanup project of The X-Files page. I was wondering if you would be interested in helping. There are two of us so far, and more people are needed to make this page more than just fancruft. Let me know. Thanks - Zepheus 17:19, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

  • It's awesome that you're interested in helping out. Check out the Cleanup page that I created to facilitate the process, as well as the info on the The X-Files talk page. I think the most important issues are getting rid of (or rephrasing) a lot of the cruft (such as the Trivia section), cleaning up the X-Files history, and citing our sources. Hope you can help out. - Zepheus 19:23, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

What is the source of Image:Map of Orange.jpg? Did you draw it yourself? I see you've marked it as public domain. -Will Beback 23:09, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

I wish I could create images like this. I was emailed the image along with some other PD images and data when I requested information from the City some time ago.--Lordkinbote 05:03, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
So long as they said it's PD then that's OK. Good PD maps are hard to find. Thanks for uploading it. Cheers, -Will Beback 07:48, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
