the name was "Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal" just like in Britain after which it was modelled, see Lord Privy Seal.

Comment but the British entry is under "Lord Privy Seal", the common name not the official name of the position. What is the common name of the Japanese position? --Sumple (Talk) 11:34, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Just offering additional context for removing merge tag because "[t]he office of the Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal was identical with the old Naidaijin only in name."[1] and [2]
