Talk:Lord Genome

[edit] Okay, where did all this information come from?
Most of this information wasn't even mentioned within the series itself, and I'm pretty sure the Anti-Spirals let the humans survive under Lord Genome's rule as long as their numbers were kept in check. As can be clearly viewed in 17, the Anti-Spirals had a sort of "count-down" mechanism that kept tally of the number of humans on the Surface, if not on the planet itself, with the “moon,” not to mention the fact that the moon began falling at the Anti-Spiral's whim, thus discrediting Lord Genome just keeping the Cathedral Terra up there himself. He obviously compromised with the Hanrasen so that he could keep his species alive. I’ve got to say that most of this just seems like a bunch of fan fiction. I’m unaware of any TTGL data books out there. I mean, there’s the manga, but I’m not sure that it goes into this.
Okay, someone needs to clear this up. Kageryushin (talk) 02:59, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Most of this information comes from transliterations in AnimeSuki, which is transcribed from Japanese viral sources like 2channel. For issues of WP:V we can't take 2channel or AnimeSuki on as actual sources, so I've included the information until ADV Films publishes the side materials or someone can come up with a legitimate source. Thus far, all I have are translations of the episodes, the drama CD translation (I don't even have a serial number for it yet), and summaries from the short story guide volume one. The data-books are listed here and information on "the world" can be read in the rifling page. My capacity as a fact-checker are limited because I am not versed in the Japanese language, but perhaps some time down the line someone with such skill could trace other verifiable sources through 2channel posts. Some of the information I'm not sure of (like Lord Genome transforming Cathedral Terra into the moon), but that hasn't been addressed in any side-materials to my knowledge either, so it can be debated up here. I see. I must say that I preferred the minimalistic approach of the original character pages, but if this information is truly more accurate, a possibility that I haven't wholly embraced just yet, then I guess it's required. Still, we really do need to verify this information as soon as possible. Kageryushin (talk) 04:08, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
I have recently edited the article with information I feel much more comfortable with. It certainly fits better with what occurs within the actual series, for that matter. Kageryushin (talk) 00:28, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
