Lorrie Sheehy works in theatre and film. In her capacity as Artistic Director of FLIP she has recently won an award from the Writers' Guild of Great Britain (WGGB) for her "outstanding contribution to new writing". Educated at Cambridge University (BA, MA) and later at Birmingham University (MA), she has qualifications in playwriting, screenwriting and directing. Sheehy is currently directing Love Me, Dorothy! in London's West End -- a play she developed from a screenplay to a musical comedy.
Sheehy's film, Unnatural Girl, about New Zealand short story writer, Katherine Mansfield is currently in development.
