Lorica is a genus of chitons in the family Loricidae.

The shells have the apex of the head valve recurved like a short spout, and a deep sinus in the tail valve. The head valve has eight slits, the median valves have a single slit on each side, and the tail valve have no slits. The girdle is thick and leathery, densely covered with short, blunt, horny spines, and there is a deep posterior slit.

Lorica species are found around Australia including Tasmania, and New Zealand.
