Lori Maddox

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lori Maddox was born February 6, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. Her fame derived largely from her alleged association with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, as well as friendships with other Los Angeles groupies, including Sable Starr, Morgana Welch and Queenie.

Not much, if anything, is known about Maddox's childhood or parents. She was a part of the growing groupie scene in the early 1970s. They were often referred to as "The LA girls of '72". These girls frequented popular nightclubs on the Sunset Strip such as The Rainbow Bar and Grill, The Whiskey, and Rodney Bingenheimer's English Disco. The Continental Hyatt House Hotel was also a favored spot for meeting their visiting rock idols. Lori modeled for Star Magazine in her later teen years, which accounts for her looking much older than she really was in most of her pictures. This magazine was a short-lived publication bearing no relation to the current tabloid of the same name. It high-lighted the contemporary Los Angeles groupie scene.

Although she's reportedly been romantically linked with many famous artists such as David Bowie, the late Keith Moon, Sylvain Sylvain and Iggy Pop, her most notable relationship was allegedly with Jimmy Page.

Today she has largely kept out of public eye and currently works in retail.
