Lori Gadzala

Lori Gadzala was the Canadian federal Green Party candidate in the Ottawa riding of Nepean—Carleton in the 2006 election. She is a businesswoman from Manotick, Ontario, having lived there for 10 years, and previously lived in Gloucester, Ontario. At the 2006 convention she was elected Ontario Rep to the Green Party of Canada federal council.

A graduate of Algonquin College, Lori runs her own private company South River Partners, a technology marketing writing and communications firm. She has previously worked for Cisco Systems, Nokia, Alcatel, and Gandalf Technologies.

Gadzala and her husband have received honourable mentions from the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, and Gadzala is a brownie leader in her hometown, in addition to other community activities.

The Green Party faced a tough uphill battle in 2006, but managed to improve on their 2004 results by netting 4.5% of the popular vote nationally. Lori Gadzala received 5.7% (4 090 votes) in her riding.
