Loren Long is an award-winning children’s book illustrator. Among his accomplishments is the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators' Golden Kite Award for illustrations for Angela Johnson's I Dream of Trains. He won a Golden Kite Honor for his illustrations in Walt Whitman's When I Heard the Learn'd Astronomer. His illustrations can also be found in Madonna's #1 New York Times bestseller Mr. Peabody's Apples and a new version of Watty Piper's The Little Engine That Could. Loren lives in Ohio with his wife and two sons.
