The primary objective of the LORDS society is to create temple of knowledge to impart value based education to the future generations of India.
The institute, affiliated to JNTU, began its humble journey with 3 UG programmes with an intake of 180 students & grew to 5 UG and 2 PG with a total intake of approximately 480 students by the year 2005. It now stands as a premier Institute of Technology of both state and national level.
The fact that it was regarded as a pace-setter for the other institutions of engineering and Technology under private Management, is due to the manner in which it had built up its infrastructure and fashioned its curricular activities. It owes its success to the vision and indefatigable efforts of its Management headed by Mr. Basha Mohiuddin, a leading Chartered Accountant and multi-splendoured personality and to the devotion and sense of dedication of its teaching and non-teaching staff committed to the pursuit of excellence. Further, it was the dynamic leadership and administrative acumen of Dr. I.A.Pasha, Principal which has helped LIET to attain a pre-eminent position among the institutions of Engineering and Technology.
The institute has added both reputation and infrastructure to support it’s promise of "ENGINEERING THE FUTURE" for the students. Affiliated to the first Technological University in the country-JNTU,Hyderabad, LIET leads the newly established colleges under JNTU in quite a number of ways.

[edit] DEPARTMENTS OF LIET
Computer Science & Engineering ( CSE ): Intake: 120
Students who pass out from this institution should be the best. For that, they have to be given the best and the latest. Instead of following a trend, they should be the rend setters. They need to be provided with the best education with the latest of the courses. With this aim in mind, we introduced the CSE course.
The CSE is a 4 year course under the aegis of the Department of Computer Sciences. It was started in 2003/04 with an intake of 60 students.
Electronics & Communications ( ECE ) Intake: 120
Today the world breathes Electronics and without Communication technologies, there would be no future. So undoubtedly, the future is here in ECE. But, it would be a very demanding career. So, students in this field need to be moulded accordingly. And that is exactly what we do so that they have a bright future.
Hence we put this department of ECE in the safe hands of Dr I. A. Pasha, HoD who is also the Principal of the college.
Electrical & Electronics Engineering ( EEE ) Intake: 60
EEE is one of the most challenging course. It is wide and deep. And with new trends and technologies everyday, this is getting to be very complex by the day. Hence, we have a full fledged department for this subject guide by the eminent and experienced faculty.
Mechanical Engineering ( ME ) Intake: 60
One of the most exciting course in engineering is Mechanical Engineering. It demands great efforts to be successful. And we provide every facility for the students to put in the best and excel.
Masters in Computer Applications ( MCA ) Intake: 60
MCA is designed to give students in-depth knowledge and understanding the field of computing and its applications in various fields like business and scientific applications. It is a 3 years PG course which is meant to develop the extensive knowledge of the ever growing IT world and to provide summary of key concepts of software & hardware.
LIET library & information centre is housed in a spacious hall with well furnished cushioned chairs, reading tables and book racks meeting international standards. It has a good collection of books and journals in the fields of engineering, science and management. The total book collection as on 20.11.2006 is 12,936 which includes 1200 reference books.
The library subscribes a good number of technical journals in engineering, science and management for the year 2006. It has subscribed 50 technical journals and 20 periodicals. All the current journals are displayed and back-volumes of the journals are bounded year wise and are available for ready reference. The library is partially automated with internet facility. The library has a total membership of 1010 which includes 960 students and 50 staff members. It is headed by the librarian with the help of two staff members.

[edit] ACTIVITIES
Since its inception, LIET has been a fore runner in organizing student oriented activities for the intellectual benefit of the students. The activity list includes not only technical but also cultural, sports and career related events. In the second year of it’s functioning, LIET made a mark by organizing a national level Technical Symposium called “ SANKETIKA” which was acclaimed a great success and thus inspired us to conduct the event at a national level again and again every year . Organizing a state level event at such a young age proved the mettle of the management and faculty of Lords.
The monthly activities include seminars, workshops and expert guest lectures.
One of the highest priorities is the guest lectures. We strongly believe that for the students to go out and face the world, they need to know the latest trends in the profession they are into. For this we arrange for interactions with eminent working professionals from the industry.
The first workshop was held by Intel on Career Planning and Management. Workshop on soft-skills by expert faculty from MJ College of Engineering, Hyd. Seminars on Personality Development and Interview skills by Retd. Col. Naidu 2 day Workshop on Personality Development by Mr. G. A. Kaleem, Deputy Director of National Police Academy, Hyd. Seminar by Cpt.
