Loomis was a television pilot written and produced by Gary Janetti and Cheri Oteri. It starred Oteri as a local news reporter who dreams of becoming a national talk show host. The supporting cast consisted of Will Arnett, Shirley Knight, and Philip Baker Hall, Mary Birdsong, and Tim Sarkes. Arnett played Oteri's slacker brother, Knight played her eccentric mother Trish, and Hall played her gruff father Jack.
