- Since they were recently indefblocked over there, probably not. —Dgiest c 08:11, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like a month-long block to me.[1] Regardless, it's not our problem. –Gunslinger47 14:35, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

He's now blocked indefinitely for edits like this. szyslak 18:33, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- How sweet. --Dynaflow babble 03:40, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] SummerThunder's blog
Now has a blog, "Wikipedia generated Obsessive-compulsive disorder":

- He still doesn't seem to understand the whole open proxy concept. –Gunslinger47 18:10, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] More sockpuppets
Apparently SummerThunder has a thing for Simon Rex and has been vandalizing that page, removing any mention of his adult film career:

He was active on the discussion page before getting blocked and the IPs match up with his known ISP and range. Should those users be tagged as suspects? 24.206.109.81 22:00, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- While it's probably him, I will note that the edits primarily consist of removing unsourced or poorly-sourced allegations that the subject has been involved in gay adult films, so these may be considered to be working in the spirit of Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. —dgiestc 02:50, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps, but it wasn't really the edits so much as the fact that he's back and may start back up with his old tricks again. Just a heads up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.206.109.81 (talk • contribs) 03:35, May 31, 2007
- My intuition is that it's not SummerThunder, and that the edits in question come from another person using his IP range. To my knowledge, the identified SummerThunder socks have never edited pornography-related articles. In addition, removing "adult" content is not his "style", particularly given his habit of using copious profanity in his edit summaries and talk page comments. szyslak 08:24, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- In the end, since we don't have a name or any other personally-identifying information that could nail down who he is IRL, SummerThunder is simply a set of (obnoxious) behaviors emanating from a particular IP range. If those behaviors go away, then so has SummerThunder. If the actual human being behind the SummerThunder role wants to start contributing helpfully from one of those new IPs he can get so easily, then there's no way we can definitively recognize him. In essence, Wikipedia's open architecture makes it so he's welcome to come back once he's willing to not be SummerThunder anymore. The "right to disappear" may only truly apply to those who have edited in good faith, but there's nothing to stop any of the banned miscreants from taking advantage of it too by just not acting like their former selves.
- For historical interest, this seems to have been the spot where he transformed from an apparently helpful anon 75.1.7.231 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log); with a keen interest in Simon Rex, Jeremy Jordan (actor), Brad Posey, and various locations in the Caribbean; into the supertroll SummerThunder. Here is the moment of trasformation: [2]. --Dynaflow babble 18:51, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- I take that back; it's definitely him. szyslak 21:02, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not "present" anymore?
Haven't seen this guy around; anyone remember when they last saw him? I can't remember any interactions since about the end of 2007. Grandmasterka 04:40, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- My last run-in with him was in late February. --Dynaflow babble 18:52, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
