SummerThunder (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) arrived on the English Wikipedia with complaints to make against the Chinese Wikipedia. A long discussion ensued, which is archived at Wikipedia:Village pump (miscellaneous). He was blocked for 24 hours on December 31, 2006 for making extensive personal attacks. Within 24 hours, this block was extended to 48 hours, 72 hours, and then indefinite, due to his ongoing use of sockpuppets to continue his personal attacks. As of January 2008, SummerThunder continues to use sockpuppets on a variety of Wikipedia pages. He has been banned by the Wikipedia community.

He has recently shown a tendency to attack users who have attracted his ire by marking them as his own sock puppets or as sock puppets of each other. He will attempt to cause as much damage and chaos as possible within the amount of time he has between his new sock's first edit and its inevitable banning. Alert editors and sysops have managed as of late to keep these rampages below 15 minutes in duration, yet he has still managed to rack up dozens upon dozens of vandalizing edits. Ideally, he should be blocked on sight or taken to WP:AIV, where he should get high priority, as time is of the essence to limit damage. Watch AIV reports until they go through, however, as he will often watch AIV and alter reports in a heretofore unsuccessful attempt to get his pursuers blocked as socks.

SummerThunder also appears to be pursuing what seems to be an obsessive vendetta against those he feels have wronged him, and against Wikipedia itself, on other online forums and other wikis (example: see banned user Summer.Thunder's discussion page at Uncyclopedia and the former contents of his userpage there). Though SummerThunder's initial motivations for extreme Wikipedia misbehavior seem to have been genuinely political (see this probable posting of his at cNet), his attacks now seem to be uniformly driven by spite.
