[edit] 24.61.133.186
Longhair, My oldest daughter goes to John Stark Regional High School. Not me by anymeans especially at the age of 59. she is not allowed per school orders to use Wikipedia, so to send me a message that my ability to edit will be removed I believe you have the incorrect IP. Of course, there are 11 computers in this house since I run a non-profit religious organization. My sincerest appologoes for anyone that has used one of my systems if in fact it was made from my residence for any inconveince this has called.
Sincerely, Rev. Dr. Jeffrey B. Wright Ph.D. Slan Agat —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.61.133.186 (talk • contribs) 16:14, April 25, 2008 (UTC)

[edit] If youre up to it
My reversion at outback probably needs some oversight from someone else - there was a ridiculous fight there this arvo i think and for what ever reason I think my reverting back of it seems to resolve things- however its always good to get a rap on the knuckles from those whom id respect the decision than get involved with the warring parties - if i get it wrong - cheers SatuSuro 09:56, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Keep it up my fellow Australian Wikipedian
Longhair, i just want to say keep up your terrific work here on Wikipedian and hopefully you can keep it going for a long time to come. Its always a pleasure and an honour to get in touch with someone who has been helping the project for such a long time and it being a fellow Australian i just had to pop by and give my praises to you because you deserve it. You always see users come and go and sometimes they leave because of the project but then i come across great users like you and i always say to myself its worth it, to help out the project and to do it so we can all enjoy the place, interacting with users across the world makes it worthwhile. I heard a nice quote from someone the other day "to accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan but also believe." I dont know if your still into barnstars after all this time but heres one to show my appreciation: Take Care and all the best

To Longhair, a fellow Australian wikipedian for the great work in regard to the project after all these years and i hopefully it can be continued for a long time to come. Thanks, take it easy Roadrunnerz45 (talk 2 me) 11:48, 2 June 2008 (UTC) |
[edit] WP:HAU
Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Useight (talk) 22:31, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Date?
Hi, can you understand what is the date of this article? Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 04:32, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ugh
If you go to far into the Indonesian Project you will be doing that for every second or third article - are you sure you wish to be that enthusiastic? (just saw Kompas) - please understand that WP Indonesian EN is struggling with reduced active english speaking editors - and there are some major issues regarding linking from totally unreferenced material - I would ask for an on or off wiki conference on some of the issues if you are going to go into the project - seriously - cheers SatuSuro 06:15, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Brave man - well if you ever do - give me an off wiki message and I'll give you the low down - its a horrible story :( SatuSuro 06:21, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pitch Vision
I know this is a strange thing to compliment someone on, but that was the tightest, cleanest, most convincing PROD template I've ever seen. - Vianello (talk) 06:56, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- It scares me how many doohickeys Wikipedia has that I never noticed before. Half of me feels stupid for missing it, the other half is more concerned with what ELSE I might not have noticed! But anyway, thanks! That will be very useful. - Vianello (talk) 07:01, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] New Liberal Party of India
Hi Longhair, you deleted http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Liberal_Party_of_India. Please can we have our content back. We have not saved a screenshot. Also let me know if there is a chance to let the article live on wikipedia with some changes.
[edit] Hey
Hey Longhair, long time no talk. :) I hope all is well with you. I just wanted to let you know that Nathan has appealed his ban and I thought as one of the admins who dealt with him last time you might have some thoughts on whether he should be unbanned. Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard#User:Punk_Boi_8. Take care, Sarah 02:34, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. Thank God, indeed. :) He emailed me and asked me to withdraw his request and I meant to come back and let you know that it was over but I got distracted irl. They've been over-turning lots of bans on AN lately and I was quite concerned we were going to be back at square one but it was rather anti-climactic in the end! Cheers, Sarah 04:34, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your thoughts
Hi Longhair. Sorry to bother you but just need your thoughts. I changed a title of a citation and Rob.au changed it back (minus the caps) but his edit summary stated this (You can't rename a citation!)[7]. I have left him a reply to see what his hinting at (and I'm hoping it's not my thoughts of a WP:OWN issue but am assuming good faith) Bidgee (talk) 18:32, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. So what I've been told is wrong. If a source has a long title use a shorter title which is what I was told a 2 editors in the past. Bidgee (talk) 18:53, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Trophy Manager issue
I'm sorry to be writing this on your page, but I don't know how else to PM you. I realize that my editing on the Hat Trick page was uncalled for but I am getting tired of noone addressing our issue. Trophy Manager is an online game just like Hat Trick and to prove that I've written twice on that page (Trophy Manager), but after the original page had been deleted, so were my comments. To keep things simple, here is a comparison between Hat Trick and Trophy Manager: HAT TRICK - 965,000 users, 122 countries, season 34, optional membership for 30 USD per year, etc. TROPHY MANAGER - 100,000 users, 124 countries, season 11, optional membership for 29 EUR per year, etc. I do not see how anyone could possibly have such double standards as to allow one but not the other to be mentioned on Wikipedia. I am obviously not very happy how the complaint system works here, either, cause I've read all of the Deletion, Undeletion, Mediation and such pages here but basically to get someone to really address this issue is apparently impossible. If anyone's willing to do that, please, my e-mail is joemoe66@yahoo.com, please advise exactly how and by writing to whom we should complain for this blatant ignoring of 100,000 users who would just like to have their Trophy Manager Wikipedia page back. Thank you and again, sorry for writing this here, but I don't know where else to write this in order to get a real response. I will sincerely appreciate an e-mail. Peace!
[edit] Coordinates?
You appear to be requesting coordinates for my Naval Hospital Yokosuka Japan article. I don't see how it would fit in this article. The hospital is in yokosuka, and that city is linked in the article. Since the city has coordinates in its article, and this location is part of that city, don't you think that it would be rather redundant to add the same coords to a building in a city?
