[edit] Inclusion of Canada at The Game (game)
I noticed that you have made several attempts to add Canada to the list of places this game is played. Unfortunately your addition is not appropriate for several interrelated reasons. The first is that Wikipedia policy prohibits original research and instead requires all information to be verifiable via reliable sources. As there is currently only one source for the article and the source does not mention Canada, the addition violates the policies requiring verification and prohibiting original research. These issues are in turn compounded by the sentence your addition was made to stating the list is from an article in De Morgen.
Due to the history of The Game (game) article, enforcement of the verifiability policy is very strict (see the article talk page for background information). If you still wish to add Canada to the list you will need to find and cite a reliable source that supports the addition. Until then you may expect to see the addition reverted. --Allen3 talk 22:21, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- If you take the time to read Wikipedia:Verifiability you will see that threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. This is an important distinction because as an encyclopedia it is Wikipedia's job to document the state of human knowledge and not to create new knowledge. So while I have no personal doubts that people in Canada engage in the game, the requirement for verifiability does not go away on either your say-so or mine. --Allen3 talk 23:30, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Canada Page
You said: "I am new to this, so hold on. I am just trying to understand why blocked from the Canada page by you for "long term vandalism". I was not vandalising is was trying to update. Sorry if I messed that up. My intentions are not bad. Changes to US border policies mean that the Canada-US border is no longer undefended. I put links, but I obviously did something wrong. Sorry again."
- Hello. As near as I can tell, and I did check, I have never blocked you. Probably you are hitting an autoblock. Someone who shares (or shared) your IP address was blocked for vandalism and you were accidentally blocked as collateral damage (that is, you were not blocked deliberately). If you are still unable to edit, please let me know. The fact that you are able to edit my talk page indicates that you are no longer blocked, however. --Yamla 17:32, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Blocking
You said: "I was wondering, as you seem to be experienced at Wiking. How is someone blocked. There is a specific page that is close to me that is being constanly vandalised, and I feel certain people should not be able to access th page. Can you help."
- Only administrators can block people from editing. Please see WP:VAND which contains links to places you can report ongoing vandalism. Thanks! --Yamla 01:53, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- As an example, I just blocked you for this vandalism. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 20:36, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
I would like to appeal thee block.Longbranch 20:40, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- It will be over soon enough. Don't mess around like that, please. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 04:29, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

- Have fun with the appeal; vandalism doesn't get much more blatant than your ludicrous move of the Israel page, complete with spelling error. I would advise you to stick to the facts and edit articles constructively and without POV bias. Given the soapbox you've turned your user page into, however, I somehow doubt the message is going to get through. Schrodingers Mongoose 04:30, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Please do not continue to vandalize Wikipedia.
[edit] Categorisation, {{uncat}} and Alaibot
Alaibot is a "robot" (i.e., a software-driven editor), and thus I'm afraid, not quite smart enough to do actual categorisation. Its current edits are just tagging articles as "uncategorised", in order to facilitate categorisation by other (and probably human) editors. Alai 15:13, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image esaPREVIEW.jpg
Please don't wave around words like vandalism. The image was deleted according to WP:CSD#I4. In casu an image without a source. That image was already tagged on 9 April, the uploader was warned, see User talk:Digerateye but no source was provided. Ergo, the image was deleted. Garion96 (talk) 21:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Additionally, Longbranch, please consider reading Wikipedia:Vandalism and Wikipedia:Avoid the word "vandal". Sheesh, talk about failing to assume good faith on Garion's part. --Iamunknown 01:06, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:JamesSBell.png
Thanks for uploading Image:JamesSBell.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:11, 5 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 01:11, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:St Mark's CopticChurch--TO.jpg
Hello, there.
I just wanted to know if you're able to take a picture of St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church in Toronto. You can find out the street address online (the links to those websites are on the image pages). The current images are, unfortunately, copyrighted, as I was the one who uploaded them.
The current (copyrighted) images may get deleted, so if they do, then I'll need to replace them.
I need you or somebody else to take a picture, release its copyright, and upload it onto Wikipedia. I HAVE contacted others to notify them also, so if there are more than one pictures, that's OK (I can still make an article on them). I want these images to be used for, specifically, the article "Coptic Orthodox Church in Canada". The image page is, again:
