From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
At wikipedia, I mainly fix minor errors like typos and missing/broken links. However, I also start new articles on rare topics, with as much information I can find in my limited time. The main idea behind starting those articles is to give other wikipedians, who might be afraid of starting an entire new article, the chance to add further information.
I like bits of information that are very hard to find; it doesn't take much effort to find basic information about a topic through any search engine of your choice. You dont need wikipedia for that. However, finding that little bit of infomration you are looking for just now may be a whole different story. That's what makes wikipedia so interesting: literally tens of thousands of people can contribute their little bit of information that might seem irrelevant to some but can be very valuable to others.
[edit] Dislikes
What I really don't like are people who remove those little bits of information mentioned above, claming it an unverified source and taking away from wikipedia what makes it unique. It is even worse if those people are starting to hide behind wiki guidelines even though they clearly state that they are not rules, but guidelines.

This is mainly for me to keep track of them. :)
