Talk:Long Shot Hero

[edit] Ska band?
I've heard a couple of their songs, and I don't hear any ska characteristics in them at all. They're more like a pop-punk rock band with trumpets. Since I haven't heard all their songs, I'm not going to change the genre myself, so if anyone more familiar with their music could tell me if most of their songs are "pop-punk with trumpets" (like "All We Wanna Be," "Rocking Out," and "Go") or if they have some actual ska songs, I'd appreciate it so I could edit the article accordingly. Remember people, trumpets alone don't make a song part of the ska, skapunk or skacore genres. Ash Loomis
[edit] Notable?
I am unable to find mentions of this band in any reliable sources. shotwell 14:03, 8 November 2006 (UTC) main site is shutdown since the band is no longer around..."
they are still available on the Apple iTunes Store and in stores

This article seems sort of one-sided, really only talking about their lead singer. What about the talented instrumentalists? It seems to me when reading this that the lead singer probably just wrote this article himself as his form of self- glorification.
- this article was originally written by a fan, then expanded by guitar player shaun canard
Vanity Page?
Vanity Page?
I live in west chester and have never heard of them. And I go to several shows a week at local bars... definatley a vanity page for some garage band.
- despite popular belief, bars are not the only place in west chester to play shows. long shot hero was not popular on the west chester bar circuit because they were not a cover band. they have played at two west chester bars, rex's in 2004 (to open for ska legends the toasters), and 15 north in 2005. because their music was more popular with an all-ages crowd and they refused to play other people's songs, their west chester shows were normally either at fennario's, the YWCA, or on west chester university's campus.
