Longaniza

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Longaniza is a pork embutido similar to a chorizo. It is popular in several regions of Spain, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and in Chile.

In Chile, Longaniza may be eaten during a barbecue with bread as a choripan (despite not being a proper chorizo). The city of Chillán is known for its longanizas. Chillán's football team Ñublense are nicknamed la longaniza mecanica (Spanish for: the clockwork longaniza).
