[edit] Design
[edit] Medal
The medal is a rectangular form of a cross with a cut out relief of the Republic of the Philippines coat of arms in the center.[1] The coat of arms is bordered in a gold.[1] Below the seal is a scroll where the words "Republic of the Philippines" are written.[1] The cross supporting the RP seal represents the services rendered by the individual to the country.[1] The medal is in a cross pattée design on the background.[1] The cross is a tinted black.[1] It is bordered in a silver.[1]
[edit] Ribbon
The service ribbon is all red in color.[1] It has no stripe on it, like most of the other designs in the Philippines.[1] The design is such that it is noticed as being the ribon for the Long Service Medal.[1] The ribbon that is attached to the medal is tinted in a red colour that is the same as the ribbon that is used in an undress.[1] The ribbon on the medal is attached by a golden ring which is attached to a golden clasp which connects with the medal.[1]
