Long Island Ducks (basketball)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Long Island Ducks were an American basketball team based in Commack, New York that was a member of the Eastern Basketball Association. They played in Long Island Arena. A local sports media club published their own version of a yearbook. The club made it because the owner did not publish one. The sports club would sell them at home games based at the old Long Island Arena (also known as the Suffolk Forum). A King Kullen supermaket in Commack, NY now stands where the arena use to be.
The owner of the basketball team was the late Al Baron. He was prior owner of the LONG ISLAND DUCKS minor league hockey team. .
