The Long-bearded Melidectes (Melidectes princeps) is a species of bird in the Meliphagidae family. It is endemic to Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montanes and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. It is threatened by habitat loss.
