SE19 is a postcode district in the SE postcode area of London, England.[1]

The postcode district is part of the LONDON post town.[1] Sectors 1, 2 and 3 are in use.[1] There are no dependent localities used in the postcode district.[1] The numbered district was created in 1917 and was originally designated as the Norwood postal district.[2] Before then it had been included in the SE postal district. There has been no significant recoding of the district from 1990 to 2007.[3] There are Post Office branches in the district on Central Hill, Crown Point Parade and Westow Street.[4]

The postcode district has a population of 25,226 in 12,403 residential properties and the greatest number (62.8%) of the properties are flats.[5] The population density is 56.5 people per square kilometre. The average age of residents is 34.[5]

The district is mostly within the London Borough of Croydon, with sections in the north around Norwood and Crystal Palace in the London Borough of Bromley, the London Borough of Southwark and the London Borough of Lambeth. It also includes Upper Norwood, Gipsy Hill and Norwood New Town.[6]
