London Rowing Club (LRC) is a rowing club in London, England.

The club was founded in 1856, for the purpose of winning medals at Henley Royal Regatta.[1] London also provided half of the oarsmen in the composite international lightweight crews that won the Club Quads in 2007 and Double Sculls in 2005. The club is one of the oldest rowing clubs in London. The boathouse is located by Putney Bridge. LRC is one of the seven founding clubs of the Remenham Club at Henley.

London is a High Performance Centre for Lightweight Rowing, and has been the base for many successful international Lightweights since the inception of the weight class.

Former members of the club include the motor racing driver Graham Hill, who used the colours of the club as his helmet design (as did his son, Damon).[2] Current club members include international rowers for Great Britain, Ireland and Germany.

Current internationals include:

  • James Clarke
  • Danny Harte
  • Phelan Hill
  • James Lindsay-Fynn
  • Rob Williams[3]
  • Mathilde Pauls
  • Sophie Hosking

The current chief coach is Australian silver medallist Paul Reedy.[4]
