N22 is a postcode district in the N postcode area of London, England.[1]

The postcode district is part of the LONDON post town.[1] Sectors 5, 6, 7 and 8 are in use.[1] There are no dependent localities used in the postcode district.[1] The numbered district was created in 1917 and was originally designated as the Wood Green postal district.[2] Before then it had been included in the N postal district. There has been no significant recoding of the district from 1990 to 2007, with some minor recoding in January 1998.[3] There are Post Office branches in the district on Lordship Lane and Salisbury Road. There are also two branches on High Road.[4]

The postcode district has a population of 35,360 in 15,583 residential properties and the greatest number (52.7%) of the properties are flats.[5] The population density is 82.1 people per square kilometre. The average age of residents is 32.[5]

The postcode district is mostly within the London Borough of Haringey, with a small part in the north west around Bowes Park in the London Borough of Enfield. It includes Wood Green and Noel Park.[6] The postcode district has broadly similar boundaries to the historic Wood Green parish, although it covers a larger area including more of Alexandra Park.[7]
