London Fringe Theatre Festival (Ontario)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
London Fringe Theatre Festival is a Canadian annual fringe theatre and related arts festival in London, Ontario. Founded in 1999, it typically begins on the province's Civic holiday weekend and runs for 10 days.
On the application for the 2008 festival, the London Fringe introduced a new processing fee. This non-refundable fee of $15 must be paid in order to submit an application, whether or not the applicant is chosen to participate in the festival, as the participants are selected using a lottery system. Although this fee is a common practice among Fringe festivals,[1][2] the fee has proven unpopular with long-time participants in the festival,[citation needed] and is seen by some as a blatant cash-grab.[neutrality disputed]
