[edit] History
Before route H18 was operated by Arriva The Shires it was operated by Metroline at their Harrow Weald garage, first using midibuses and then Dennis Darts, running from Harrow Weald to Harrow Bus Station via Belmont Circle, Kenton and Northwick Park (Monday to Saturday except evenings).
Arriva The Shires gained the contract of route H18 in 1998, at their Garston garage in Watford, using brand new low-floor Volvo B6BLE/Wright Crusader 2 single deckers with the double deck appearing. it was extended from Harrow Weald Bus garage to round the corner to Elms Lane Courtenay Avenue to replace part of the withdrawn route H15.
In 2006, it was extended again from Elms Lane Courtenay Avenue to Harrow Bus Station to replace the withdrawn route 350, turning route H18 into circular route, running clockwise and the anti-clockwise direction was renumbered H19, similar to the anticlockwise dirction of route H10 which was renumbered H9 in 2005.
The H18 and the H19 gained an evening and Sunday service later that year.
