[edit] History
Route E6 used to run from Hayes Station to Greenford Red Lion operated by Centrewest stationed at the Greenford (G) garage using minibuses. Route E6 was created in 1990s to serve the Willow Tree Estate and Ferrymead Gardens. It also ran to Greenford Station, but this section was withdrawn.
When the E-route where being re-tendered. Centrewest ordered new Dennis Dart SLF/ Marshall Capital (DML) for route E5, E6 and E10. Evening and Sunday services were created and the route was extended from Hayes Station to Bull's Bridge Tesco creating a new link via Cranford Drive.
When the E-routes was retendered in 2002, route E6 gained new Dennis Dart SLF 8.8m/Plaxton Pointer 2 and was rerouted via Ruislip Road. Route E10 replaced that section and was extended from Greenford Red Lion to Greenford station. The extension made room for new route E11.
