[edit] History
The route has always been operated by minibuses since London Transport operation. The route was previously operated by Connex using Optare Solos.
There is a lot of controversy about route C1's extension, as it was intended to run through previously unserved roads. Most of these complaints are about children playing in the road. The extension as put into place, but with the buses not serving the main road children play in, but a congested street.
The extension required extra new buses, these are Enviro 200 Darts, operating in addition to the Dennis Dart SLFs on the route.
