[edit] History

The route began on 26th December 2006 replacing the Monday to Saturday 351 service from Chelmsford to Romford (Route 351 still operates from Brentwood to Chelmsford). The route is one of few London Buses routes that operate out of London. The route first started off using DAF DB250/Alexander ALX400s, but settled with using Wright Cadets. The route has plans to be extended west of Romford to Dagenham.
