[edit] History

Route 476 was introduced in on 1 February 2003 to replace the withdrawn section of route 76 between Northumberland Park & Tottenham Swan.

Route 476 has so far been operated by First Capital (now First London) at their Northumberland Park garage, initially using Volvo Olympians from route 341 because the new buses did not arrive on time. A few months later in May, the new buses arrived in the form of low-floor Volvo B7TL / Plaxton President (VTL) double-deckers.

Night bus N76 operated by Arriva London provides the night service of route 476 between Northumberland Park Station and Stoke Newington.
