[edit] History

The 410 shares a very similar route to the 157 (Crystal Palace-Morden)which also starts at Crystal Palace meets again at Norwood Junction, West Croydon, and splits again around Beddington.

After the creation of the tram network in Croydon, many bus routes went through many alterations.

The 410 bus route was created after the amalgamation of the 412 route (then Purley - Norwood Junction) and route 400. The 412 returned to its previous route between Purley and West Croydon, while remaining portion of 400 was taken over completely by 455 (which was an amalgamation of 450 and 400) and 466 (amalgamation of 166 and 400).

The route was extended from Norwood Junction to Crystal Palace following the 361 from the Junction of Portland Road/High Street/South Norwood Hill (South Norwood Hill - Sylvan Road - Crystal Palace).
