[edit] History

This route began on 1 October 1994, it replaced the withdrawn section of route U1 Ruislip & Harefield and withdrawn route 348 between Northwood & Uxbridge. It was operated by LDT the Shires (Garston).

Route 331 was transferred to Centrewest's Uxbridge Garage in 1998. Brand new Dennis Dart SLF/Marshall Capitals were bought to convert the route into low-floor in 2003.

In March and April 2008, a batch of new Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts were bought to run the route.
