[edit] History
Route 190, began in February 1991 to replace the withdrawn section of route 290 between Richmond Bus Station and West Brompton Empress State Building (Mondays to Saturdays).
Before being operated by Metroline, it was operated by London United (now Transdev), at their Stamford Brook garage, using single-deck Leyland Lynx. Dennis Darts replaced the Leyland Lynxs in 1994.
In 1995, a Sunday service was gained with double deck operation was introduced from Southall's London Buslines.
The whole allocation was transferred to Armchair, at their Brentford Garage, using their orange and white Darts. The route was converted to low floor in 2001, using Dennis Dart SLF 10.2m / Plaxton Pointer 2 (DP) single deckers with Armchair's new red and orange livery.
Metroline bought Armchair in 2005, initially under a different name until 2007 and now most of the buses have been painted in Metroline's red and blue livery.
