[edit] History

Route 112 was introduced in the 1950s and was a very different route from what it is today, it ran Hampton Court to Palmers Green. The Hampton Court section was later withdrawn, and the Brent Cross Shopping Centre to Palmers Green section was withdrawn and replaced by route 232.

It all has been contracted to a variety of operators from different garages. The route was operated by Atlas Bus at Palmers Green and Willesden using Leyland Lynx. Altas Bus closed and the allocation went to A & I coaches at North Acton using Optare Vecta. A & I merged with MTL London and renamed London Northern at Harlesden using the same buses. London Northern was bought by Metroline and was moved to Cricklewood (W) using Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer and the allocation was moved to the new Perivale garage.

Later Metroline lost its contract for route 112 to Tellings-Golden Miller (which sold its London bus operation to Travel London) at the new Hayes garage using new Dennis Dart SLF 10.2m/Caetano Nimbus.
