London Academy of Radio Film and Television

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The London Academy of Radio Film and Television (LARFT) is located in London, UK. Taught by celebrities and industry figures, anyone can take a course and begin a new career in radio, film or TV.

The Academy grew out of a bedroom in Chelsea in 1999. Started by Andy Parkin who had no resources, the only option was to teach from a spare bedroom, turning the room into a mini studio and changing a broom cupboard as the recording room. From these humble beginnings, the Academy has grown and moved to its present building opposite Euston Train station in the heart of London UK.

The Academy offers over 100 courses and is staffed by tutors who also work within the industry.
