Lomas de Zamora is a city in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, located next to the border of Buenos Aires City and within the metropolitan area of Greater Buenos Aires.
It is the capital of Lomas de Zamora Partido and has a population of 111,897.
Lomas de Zamora is located in a region that supports livestock, grain, fruit, and poultry farms. Industries include meat packing, grain, and fruit processing, sawmilling, and the manufacture of dairy products, chemicals, rubber and paper products, and plastic and leather goods. The city is the site of an agricultural school and an art museum. This city is home of the Universidad de Lomas de Zamora (UNLZ), one of the biggest universities of Greater Buenos Aires and the traditonial Lomas Athletic Club
